5 Ways To Celebrate My Chemical Romance Day


Seventeen years ago today, My Chemical Romance released their first album, I Brought You My Bullets You Brought Me Your Love. Now that day is forever cemented as the fan proclaimed International My Chemical Romance Day. This holiday first surfaced in 2013 after the band announced that they would be going their separate ways. This day has been a way for fans to honor the group and what they stood for. Since it's officially My Chemical Romance Day again, we decided to list a couple of ways that you can choose to spend this special day.



1. DIY Killjoy Mask

This is a super easy and quick craft which will allow you to dress up like a killjoy.

Supplies:
- Paper (regular or cardstock)
- Pens, paint, pencils, etc
- Scissors
- Tape or string
- Tape or glue

Step #1

Print out or trace the mask template onto your paper.


Step #2

Cut out your mask (be sure to also cut out the eyeholes).


Step #3

Color and decorate your mask however you want!


Step #4

Cut off some string and measure it to your head to make sure it'll fit.


Step #5

Tape or glue the edges of your sting to each side of the mask.

There you have it - you're very own killjoy mask!

2. DIY Killjoy Gun

This one takes more time and supplies, but it's worth it!

Supplies:
- Gun Template
- Carboard
- Liquid Glue
- Scissors or a Knife
- Paint and Brushes

#3 - Blasting Their Music

There is no better way to appreciate a band then by listening to their music - loud and proud!




#4 - Wear you merch

If you own any MCR merch than wear it proudly, and if you don't make some! Find some old shirts, material, or supplies that you don't need anymore and be creative with it!



#5 - Art

Another easy way to honor them is by spending the time to create something beautiful! So draw or paint a picture of the band, some lyrics, or whatever else you want to do!

Ranking 'My Chemical Romance's' Music Videos

My Chemical Romance dominated the music scene during the 2000s and continues to live on through their fans. Since you all seemed to enjoy us ranking 'Twenty One Pilots' music videos, we decided to turn this into a series and what better band to feature next than My Chemical Romance? We judged them off of the video only, not the song or its popularity. So from our least favorite to our most loved,  here you go. #14   Planetary (GO!) While it was a fun video filled with bright lights, it was only a video of the band performing. It doesn't quite live up to some of the other videos on this list. #13   Blood Singing in a locker room doesn't change it from being another performance video, but the facial expressions were sick at least. #12   Desolation Row Yet, another performance video. Review For 'Badflower's' Music Video: 'Promise Me'

American rock band, Badflower recently released their fourth music video from their album, ' OK, I'M SICK ' for the song ' Promise Me .' The video came out on June 13, 2019, and has gathered 554,837 views on Youtube at the time of this article. Being their newest video, I decided to go ahead and give it my honest review. The video will be linked at the end of the article. The video tells the story of two lovers growing old together. It is a beautiful sentiment that the band handles well. We see it start out with the couple as children when they first meet each other in a hospital. They lighten the dark and gloomy mood of their location with childhood innocence and playfulness. This plays a huge part in the overall theme of the song and the video, which is living in denial of growing old. The next scene cuts forward to when the duo are young adults, in a bar.
